For this collaboration, we've wandered off to the UK, stopping at the 243-year-old legendary mill, Marling & Evans. Marling & Evans is a specialty mill, utilizing naturally colored wools without any added dyes. They are, without a doubt, peerless in their expertise.
The Undyed Mammoth is precisely what it sounds like, completely undyed. You're gazing upon a 22-oz./LY mix of the horned Jacob sheep and the Welsh Mountain Black Sheep with a matching 11-oz./LY Wind Wall lining. The wool is 100% undyed, utilizing the natural color of the two sheep breeds. Furthermore, this Mammoth's labeling system is made from woven Foxfibre® (a naturally colored and undyed cotton), the included patch is a debossed vegetable-tanned leather, and the buttons are made from horn, a naturally dark and individually unique material.
This Mammoth's fabric is made from low-twist yarns and has a soft drape with a plush hand. While still retaining all of the properties of wool that we love (warm when wet, antibacterial, flame retardant, odor resistant), this Mammoth weave is slightly looser—meaning a Primordial Mammoth will have a slightly higher wind and rain resistance and would be suited better for extreme foul weather. Although this is absolutely no slouch and will last and protect you for a lifetime, at least.
